IV Steroid Infusion

Hi all, I am currently suffering an acute episode of Optic Neuritus and it has been suggested that I have IV Steroids over 3 days. I have never had this before and was wondering if anyone has any views on going ahead with this as opposed to the wait and see approach. Side effects versus prognosis etc. I'd like to hear any views please.

Just had to say........we now have one in Oxford again I had an appt cancelled a year ago because the existing ones had left, but I actually saw a new one on monday. Was begining to think that they were a figment of my imagination

hello everyone! just wondering how your banding gets treated for those of you that suffer from it? i had a really severe attack on friday and ended up at a & e on a huge dose of morphine which did get it under control. my ms nurse thinks this is the way to go. anyone got any ideas?

Disabled viewing area at Donington Park

Have recently been to the Moto GP at Donington Park. Feel I have to say the disabled viewing area is fantastic, with excellent views. I'd booked grandstand tickets, and didn't know what to expect with the disabled viewing area. It's brill! Next time I go I'll not be booking grandstand tickets. Also the disabled parking is good too , it's right near the track.And it's a very short walk to the viewing area. And there is a bar very near!! The only down side is that the...

Has anyone tried Reiki massage? I'm thinking about giving it a go - I understand it deals with channeling energy, but the 'healer' does not lay hands on. I coud definitely do with a positive energy injection Eyes are still playing up, still unable to drive or get into work.....

I have been suffering from anxious depression for weeks if not months now spoke to gp about 4-6wks ago didnt do anything but it seems to be going on forever I burst into tears at random and seem to be in a constant panic only feel safe when in bed cant seem to get my act together have been through alot over last few years lossing home having to move away from family and friend tho still within driving distance.Is it part of MS will it just past or do you thonk I should seek help from doc and...

Sat watching tv last night and suddenly my feet felt hot/burning sensation.. then leg cramp kicked in.. this is a new symptom for me as i get it allot in arm. Suddenly my foot went crazy..i had no control over it unless i pressed it hard to the ground.. The muscle went that tight my foot went stiff it felt like my anckle was being strangled and my bones were going to snap. omg ive never had pain like it.. i was crying my eyes out i dont know if it was pain or fright. Took my diazepam did...

Baclofen

I have been taking baclofen since February this year and although my eating habits are much the same I have noticed an increase in my weight, especially round the middle. I have checked the info and weight gain is not listed as a side effect. Anyone else had any similar effects from baclofen, I know Elaine takes it. Or am I just kidding ,myself and is it through lack of activity!!!

EXCITING LAUNCH OF MSRC FILM

Dear All,

Thursday 12th June at 13.55pm on The Community Channel will see the first public showing of the new MSRC film. The film is a result of a collaboration between MSRC, The Media Trust and an independent cinematographer/editor.

The second showing will be on Thursday 19th at 18.30pm.

The Community Channel can be viewed on Sky 539, Virgin 233 and Freeview 87.

The film can also be viewed on The Community Channel...
